The thick body runs between open and close; the thin wicks run out to the extremes.<\/p><p>What it does not record is sequence. A candle with long wicks on both sides could have risen first and then fallen, or the reverse \u2014 it looks identical either way. When the order matters, drop to a smaller timeframe.<\/p>\n<p class=\"pull\">Colour tells you which end of the body is the close. Ten pips on EUR\/USD or twenty points on an index is a reasonable width.<\/p><\/li><li class=\"qq\" data-a=\"1\"><p class=\"qt\">A level has held four times. What does that tell you about the fifth?<\/p><div class=\"qo\"><label><input type=\"radio\" name=\"q5_2\" value=\"0\"> It will almost certainly hold<\/label><label><input type=\"radio\" name=\"q5_2\" value=\"1\"> Nothing \u2014 but more traders are watching it<\/label><label><input type=\"radio\" name=\"q5_2\" value=\"2\"> It is due to break<\/label><label><input type=\"radio\" name=\"q5_2\" value=\"3\"> It is now a trend line<\/label><\/div><p class=\"qf\" hidden>More touches mean more attention, not more reliability.
